American SAT

The SAT is a standardised test taken as part of a student’s application for admission to most colleges in the United States. There are two types of SAT – the SAT Reasoning Test and the SAT Subject Tests. The tests required will depend on the college and course.

LST Tutors can prepare students for the Maths and Science papers. As well as providing support by going through and discussing past papers, we also work to ensure that your child is comfortable with all aspects of the syllabus prior to the exam.

More information about the SAT can be found from the website of the body that set the exam – the College Board.

If you are interested in arranging SAT sessions for your child, please contact us.

SAT Reasoning Test
The SAT Reasoning Test is made up of three major sections: Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing.

LST assist in preparing for the Mathematics part of this paper.

SAT Subject Tests
The SAT Subject Tests are 20 multiple choice standardised tests given on individual subjects. The tests to be taken by your child will be chosen depending on the entrance requirements for the subject and school to which they are applying. Each test is a one-hour timed multiple choice test.

LST assist with students preparing for the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology SATs.
